VOLUNTEER AT BRENTWOOD

Volunteering at your student's school is a great way to build a strong school community and help school's where they really need it. Volunteering can range anywhere from being a Room Parent, assisting in the office, chaperoning field trips, or assisting at the book fair. Can't be on campus because of your work schedule? There may be at home tasks you can assist with. Please contact the parent center at (310) 826-5631 ext. XXX
 
All parents/caregivers, family members, and community members over the age of 18 are welcome to apply.

 Requirements:
 
1. LAUSD School Volunteer Application
2. Submit current Tuberculosis (TB) clearance with your application.
  • Please note TB clearances that are older that six months from time the volunteer application is submitted will not be accepted.
  • You may provide TB clearance using your personal doctor’s form or use the LAUSD Tuberculosis Physician/Clinic Form.
 
*If you will be volunteering MORE than 16 hours a week*
3. Submit Fingerprinting clearance with your application. Fingerprinting must be conducted through LAUSD, to schedule an appointment please call (213) 241- 6591. Presently, the fingerprinting fee is $56.00. Only money orders or cashier’s checks made out to LAUSD are an acceptable form of payment.

Completed Applications will be processed online and submitted to the Parent Community Services Branch (PCSB) by our principal/coordinator. The branch will issue a volunteer ID badge and welcome letter to the school. Upon receiving the welcome letter, we will contact you for your volunteer assignment. We appreciate all the time and energy you will spend making this a successful year for the students, teachers and other parents at BSM; and look forward to continue promoting positive partnerships between the home, school, and the community.
